MARRIAGE SERVICES.org is NOT a club. This agency is designed to unite strengthen and clean up the ranks of the marriage agency and tour company industry by setting some basic ethics and standards for operating any on-line business that deals with romance or introducing two individuals, domestic or overseas. To monitor and help defeat any legislation that may restrict the lawful and useful function of this industry. To eliminate those businesses whose sole purpose it to cheat or deceive the consumer.
Aside from bringing some basic standards of operation, integrity and honesty to the romance industry, as well as unity and lobbying power, MARRIAGE SERVICES.org wants to provide you, our members, with the necessary information and tools to improve the operation of your business, increase the volume of your sales with marketing suggestions and tips, help drive customers to your site, and protect your companies future with industry updates and lobbying.
As with any legitimate business, for MARRIAGE SERVICES.org customer satisfaction is top priority. We understand this is a highly emotional business and broken hearts are often difficult if not impossible to deal with. However we only want members who truly care about their customers, both the men and the women, and make a regular effort to take care of complaints. For that reason we offer dispute mediation to help you resolve problems with customers and keep your company rating high. As well to protect you, our members and company owners, and the consumer, we will post a black list of disreputable companies who clearly do not care about their customers, log up continuos complaints without even responding, and give the entire industry a bad name. This black list will also include any problem individuals; con- women cheating men on a regular basis, men abusing women, or any “scam” type operations.
Your company must have been in business for one full year prior to joining MARRIAGES SERVICES.org. If you have not been in business for one year you may join as a probationary member with the understanding that you will follow the high standards set by this organization in the operation of your business or your membership will not be renewed.
All members must provide MS.org with direct contact information. Companies owners name, address, phone number for our background check. We simply want to know who you are, how long you’ve been in business and where your business is located. This is for the protection of the consumer to verify that you are indeed a real business. As well some direct contact information must also be posted on your site. A phone number, and mailing address in the same city as your company location. Too many so called “marriage agencies” are nothing more than a web site and a credit card processing service. MARRIAGE SERVICES.org will NOT accept membership from any organization that intentionally shields themselves from their customers.
All members agree to at least respond to all reasonable consumer complaints within a 30 day period and show an effort to resolve the complaint within a 60 day period. For the sake of verification, that the member company is making a reasonable effort to resolve the complaint, or at least making an effort to hear the voice of the consumer, we suggest the more serious ongoing complaints are responded to in writing.
Upon request by one or both of the parties MARRIAGE SERVICES.org will agree to mediate the dispute by e-mail. There will be no charge to the member if the dispute can be resolved with one session. Mediations that go beyond one session, or require phone consultation, will be billed to the member at a predetermined amount. If both parties agree to mediation then they also agree to abide by the findings of the mediation committee.
