Contact UsQ: Are foreign women really different than American girls?
A: YES! Thank god. Not to completely lump ALL American girls into one muddy colorless bunch- I'm sure there are some good ones out there somewhere- but still it's reasonably safe to say that American girls as a whole are selfish, materialistic and emotionally confused. Many American gals suffer from what I commonly refer to as "The Cinderella Complex." They think men are put on this earth to protect them from the harsh realities of life. Foreign women on the other hand- again we are generalizing here- having grown up in a more harsh environment don't have the luxury of lazy dependence on a man and often seem to be more interested in his needs than their own. Certainly they are more appreciative of a good man when they find one, and growing up in depressed economies tend to be less materialistic.
Q: Why do they want to leave their country? Are they just after my money?
A: As materialistic Americans it's often hard for us to even imagine that other people actually have motives that don't involve material wealth. Each woman of course has a different reason or motive for wanting to leave her family and country and it's up to you to find out what that is, but quite honestly I think many of them, especially Russian women, would rather not leave. Most Russians are fiercely proud of their country and culture and they would prefer to find a decent man and have a decent life in their own country. If you were a woman wouldn't you want the same? Unfortunately the men in foreign countries tend to be heavy drinkers, smokers, and womanizers. Latin, Asian, and Russian men especially do not treat their women very well. Certainly not by our standards. Also there are no laws that protect women from sexual harassment in the workplace or in public, and spousal abuse and even rape are considered minor crimes. Russian men in particular tend to be un-ambitious very chauvinistic and driven by pride. Though it doesn't seem to hurt their pride to have their wife or girlfriend working full time at several jobs to make ends meet, while they are out getting drunk with the guys and chasing other women. So I would say the most common motive for a foreign woman to advertise herself on the internet is that she would like to find a good honest loving man and have a decent reasonably equal relationship.
Does economics play a role? Of course. It's human nature but I think since most of them have never had anything of material value, it may be difficult for them to base their decisions on the possibility of material gain. If anything the men going to these other countries to find women, especially Americans, cause themselves materialistic problems with the women because they go over there with pockets full of cash and try to impress the women by spending it so freely. Then later on they complain when the girls get the message that their cash isn't of much value to them, and start spending it just as freely.
Q: Why can't I just send some money and have the girl come to visit me? Actually some foreign women I've been e-mailing have asked me to send money so they can buy a visa?
A: This is probably the second biggest misconception about the international romance business. The first one being "All those girls want is to marry a rich American guy so they can get out of their country."
The immigration laws in this area are fairly simple and any girl who tries to tell you different is playing on most Americans desire to find the quick easy way, and trying to con you out of some money. The law is called the "Fiancee Visa Act" and was passed after World War II so the GI's could bring home their Asian girlfriends. It says first of all that you must go to her country to meet her, and be able to prove that you met her, before you file for a visa. You can get a fiancee visa package from the INS, or your tour company and do it yourself, but I advise that you hire an attorney. Since the World Trade Center attacks the INS has gotten a bit more finicky. It takes about 5-6 months now for the girl to get her visa, as long as you are both honest and single, and she must fly to the American embassy in her country to pick it up and have a physical and a personal interview. She comes here and you have 90 days to decide if you want to get married. If not she goes home. No extensions, no exceptions. She can only marry you, or go home. If you get married within the 90 days she is for the most part "legal" but then has to go through a process called "change of status." And then five years later can apply for citizenship if she wants.
Q: Should I go with a tour group, or just go alone?
A: I suggest the guys go overseas, at least the first time, with a tour group. For several reasons. A good tour company will put you up in a comfortable safe hotel, help you get oriented in the foreign country, supply a steady stream of single girls and translators. As well hanging out with a group of guys from your own country helps you stay grounded and focused. Go over there alone to see one woman and you are really asking for trouble. Most the guys who go alone come home heartbroken and disappointed.
Q: What is difference between dating sites?
A: A dating agency or marrige servicess is a business which acts as a service for matchmaking between potential couples, with a view toward romance and/or marriage between them. In today world for allots of bisy profetionals it the easy way to find realationship and creat a familly
Online dating or internet dating, is an example of a dating system and allows individuals, couples and groups to meet online and possibly develop a romantic or sexual relationship. Net dating services provide un-moderated matchmaking through the use of personal computers, the Internet, or even cell phones.
Such services generally allow people to provide personal information, then search for other individuals using criteria such as age range, gender and location. Most sites allow members to upload photos of themselves and browse the photos of others. Sites may offer additional services, such as webcasts, online chat, and message boards. Sites sometimes allow people to register for free but may offer services which require a monthly fee.
Many sites are broad-based, with members from a variety of backgrounds looking for different types of relationships. Other sites are more specific, based on the type of members, interests, location, or relationship desired.
Q: Scam and dating sites?
A:
There can be a variety of problems with online dating sites. Some sites expect members to sign up "blind", with no preview of the type of profiles they will get to see. Some profiles are not actually real people, but "bait" put there by the site owners to attract new members. Some users spam sites with "fake" profiles that are in reality advertisements to other services, such as multi-level marketing. A majority of dating sites keep profiles online for months or even years after the person has left the service thereby making it seem as though they have more available members than they actually do. Most sites have significantly more male members than women, a fact that is not mentioned to men when they sign up.
Even when members' profiles are "real", there is still an inherent lack of trust with other members. Many members misrepresent themselves by telling flattering 'white lies' about their height, weight and age, or using old or misleading photos. Members can, of course, ask for an up-to-date photograph before meeting others.
Some sites have been known to continue to charge a credit card for a considerable time after the member asks them to cancel the service.
