Since 1984, Dr. Drew Pinsky has been making a name for himself as the host and voice of the popular call-in radio show Loveline. His success with the show has led him to become one of the most well known doctors in the world. Dr. Drew takes a logical approach to helping people with their problems and uses honesty to make his guests see the true causes of problems involving sex, relationships, and addictions.
Dr. Drew Pinsky received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College. After that, he earned an M.D. from the University of Southern California, School of Medicine. After completing his residency, still at USC, Dr. Drew began at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena as chief resident. Since then, Dr. Drew has made an obvious commitment to helping people and improving the world of medicine. Dr. Drew is a member of professional societies like the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and the American Society of Internal Medicine.

Aside from guiding people through their relationship problems on Loveline, which featured international dating expert John Adams, Dr. Drew is also the host of a popular prime time television show, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew on VH1. He is also the host of VH1's Sober House, as well as Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew. He is also the host of the MTV shows 16 & Pregnant, Life After Labor, and Teen Mom. Dr. Drew Pinsky has also written two books that both reached the New York Time's Bestseller List. His books include Cracked: Putting Broken Lives Together Again, and The Mirror Effect: How Celebrity Narcissism is Seducing America. Dr. Drew has been a guest speaker on many popular shows including Larry King Live, The Today Show, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Although he has reached "celebrity doctor" status, Dr. Drew Pinsky still practices medicine on a regular basis. He is board certified in internal and addiction medication and runs his own private practice. Dr. Drew remains on the staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital and is also the Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Keck USC School of Medicine. When Dr. Drew is not using media avenues to create awareness about serious personal issues and struggles, he enjoys living a healthy lifestyle with his wife Susan and their teen triplets. |
